One random thing for everyone:

- Mohs needs to win the remaining 6 games to achieve more than 8 wins in a regular season for the first time since 2019.

- Bryce needs to win the remaining 6 regular season games and 3 playoff games to be over .500 career record. Currently at 95-103.

- Sisters are 2 wins away from having a winning regular season for the 4th time in 5 years.

- Alec has only won fewer than 6 regular season games 1 time in his career. Has 6 games left to get 2 wins.

- Moop hasn’t had a top 2 scoring team since 2019. He second that season. Taking home $500.

- Wilson has never been a division winner. Controls his own destiny.

- Ryan has only missed playoffs in back to back seasons one time (17-18). At risk to do it again after finishing last this past year.

- Krouse needs to average 137.63 PPG the last 6 games of the regular season to become the new record holder for points scored in a season.

- Bryce needs to average 112.94 points against per game the last 6 games of the season to become the new record holder for points against in a season.

- Burt has had a top 5 scoring team in all but 1 season in his career. Currently 7th highest scoring team.

- Mark is averaging under 100 points per game for the first time since 2017.

October 8th, 2025 - Carl Schefter

Things that happened in week 5:

- Sisters reached 90 career losses

- Burt reached 70 career wins

October 4th, 2025 - Carl Schefter

Quick look at our game of the week:

Moop

Vs

Sisters

They have faced each other 13 times over 12 years with the Sisters having the slight edge at 7-6.

But with Moops daunting 129 points per game this season that head to head matchup seems to be headed to be tied after this week.

Historically the Fischers have been the 9th best team in the regular season at 75-76 but they have only managed a double digit win regular season once (2022). Meanwhile Moop is the 3rd best team in the regular season at 90-74. He has 3 career double digit win regular seasons and seems primed for a 4th.

This matchup is off to a ripping start with Pukake going off for 19.5 on opening night. For the enjoyment of the league let's hope this one is a slugfest.

Over the last 4 seasons the eventual champion has a record of 7-1 against Alec Martinson. Which is by far the most dicked on coach by the soon to be crowned winners. Now when will you have a chance to keep the trend going by beating coach Martinson this year? We don't know because FTC hasn't released the schedule.

August 22nd, 2025 - Carl Schefter

Can we predict the 2025 SFFFL champion?

Looking back at the past 5 seasons there is a trend. 4 of the previous 5 champions finished ~.500 the season prior (8-6 x 2, 6-7, and 7-6) as well as finished middle of the pack for points scored (5thx2, 6th and 7th)

The outlier is FTC who went 2-12 and had the 11th ranked offense the year before he won it.

So if this trend continues which coaches does this put at the top of the contender list for the 2025 season?

Nick Mohs fits the mold after going 8-6 with the 5th best offense last year.

You can also make a case for Matt Krouse who went 6-8 and had the 7th best offense last year.

And as much as it pains me to say it FTC matches up perfectly after being 7-7 and finishing with the 6th best performing offense.

Current draft trends (last 3 years)

Running Backs:

2022 saw the most drafted in the first 2 rounds at 15 total. It took a large dip the following year in 2023 with only 9 taken and 7 of those 9 going in the first round. Last season 11 of the first 24 picks were RBs. 2024 - 5 first round and 6 second round 2023 - 7 first round and 2 second round 2022 - 8 first round and 7 second round

Wide Receivers:

We all hated the position in 2022 only drafting 8 total in the first 2 rounds. But the past 2 seasons have seen back to back years of 13 WRs going early. 2024 - 7 first round and 6 second round 2023 - 5 first round and 8 second round 2022 - 4 first round and 4 second round

Tight Ends:

We have not had a first round TE drafted in the past 3 years. In 2023 there were 2 drafted in the second round and in 2022 there was 1 drafted in the second.

Quarter Backs:

No QBs have been drafted in the top 2 rounds the past 3 years.
